Group coaching for founders
The Sounding Board
A small group of founders who meet weekly to unblock progress, challenge each other honestly, and stay accountable for moving their businesses forward.
The problem nobody talks about
Running a business is isolating. You make dozens of decisions a week with nobody to check them against. You hit a wall and there is no one in your life who truly understands what you are dealing with. Your partner listens, but they cannot advise. Your friends are supportive, but they have never done this.
Most founders are missing three things that employed people take for granted:
A peer group who get it
Not networking contacts or LinkedIn connections, but people in the same arena, facing similar challenges, who will tell you the truth rather than what you want to hear.
Real accountability
Not the motivational kind. The kind where you say what you are going to do this week, and next week someone asks whether you did it. Most founders have nobody providing that.
A board of advisors
Big companies have boards. Early-stage founders have themselves. The decisions are just as consequential, but there is no room to think them through with people who have relevant experience.
The Sounding Board exists to fill all three gaps at once.
What The Sounding Board actually is
It is a small, closed group of six to eight founders who meet weekly for 90 minutes. Each session is structured and facilitated by me, not a loose chat or a networking event. Everyone comes with real challenges and leaves with clear next steps.
Between sessions, a closed WhatsApp group keeps the conversation going - quick questions, shared resources, wins, and the occasional "has anyone dealt with this?" that gets answered within hours rather than days.
The group runs in 12-week blocks. That is long enough to build genuine trust and see real progress, but structured enough that there is always a clear rhythm and fresh energy.
Think of it as the board of advisors you have always needed but never had - except everyone around the table actually understands what it is like to build something from nothing.
How each session runs
Every session follows the same structure. This is deliberate - it means you always know what to expect, and the time is used well.
Check-in and wins
What happened this week? What moved forward? Starting with progress sets the right tone and builds momentum across the group.
Key insight
A short, practical input from me on a topic relevant to the group - pricing, hiring, customer acquisition, delegation, mindset. No lectures, just frameworks you can apply immediately.
Hot seat
One founder gets the full attention of the room on their biggest current challenge. The hot seat rotates, so everyone gets their turn across the 12-week block. This is where the real breakthroughs happen.
Peer breakouts
Smaller conversations to dig into specific challenges, share experience, and build the kind of honest relationships that make the group genuinely useful.
Commitments
Everyone states what they will do before next week. Simple, specific, and public - which is exactly what makes it work.
What founders get from this
The tangible stuff matters - you will make better decisions, move faster, and waste less time on the wrong things. But the founders who stay tend to describe the value in less obvious terms:
You stop second-guessing yourself. When six other founders have stress-tested your thinking, you act with more confidence. The doubt that normally follows a big decision is replaced by clarity.
You stop feeling alone with it. There is a room of people who genuinely understand what your week looks like. That changes how you carry the weight of running a business.
You do what you say you are going to do. Not because someone is chasing you, but because you said it in front of people you respect. That quiet accountability is more powerful than any productivity system.
You see around corners. Other founders in the group have already solved problems you are about to hit. Their experience becomes your shortcut.
What founders say
“Being a founder is a lonely job, and it’s easy to feel quite isolated and overwhelmed as you deal with the challenges of scaling up. Having this has unlocked a new phase for my business and helped me feel much less alone.”
Agency founder
“This was a superb sounding board for me during a busy scaling period in the business. That healthy balance of empathy and challenge is rare, and I found every session really valuable.”
Head of People, drinks brand
“As a solo founder it can be really tough to make all the decisions, to know when to take risks and hold yourself accountable when it matters. This has enabled me to take those risks, make difficult decisions, and most importantly has held me accountable for the things I say matter to me.”

Is this right for you?
The Sounding Board works best for founders who are already in motion - you have a business, clients, and decisions to make, but you are making them alone. You do not need to be at a particular stage or revenue level, but you do need to be willing to show up honestly, contribute to others, and follow through on what you commit to.
It is not a course. There is no curriculum to complete. It is a structured environment where you bring real challenges and leave with clearer thinking, genuine support, and the accountability to act on it.
If you are earlier in your journey - still deciding whether to start, or working on an idea that has not launched yet - a one-to-one conversation is probably a better starting point. The Sounding Board assumes you are already in the game.
